The Kokeshi Family Wings it by Metamorphisis

 This set of three sketched Kokeshi dolls have somehow been transformed by their realisation in smudgy into a family,  the adults collecting some wings in the process, that here seem more to be iridescent cardigans or draperies, but might, in the right kind of wind, allow them to hover a little above the page. 

Hot to Pot : Tea Take Two or More Really Red Peppers

Is it Sink or Swim?  The slightly repurposed pot - t-junction aesthetics- here has free-lanced as a drying rack for a curvaceous crop of chillies, the pot itself a stylish set of minimalist curves.  Hot tea anyone? 
 

Gregariously, Generously Green : Marvels of Massed Foliage

 Chiang Mai Flower Markets , on a visit late last year, yielded this condensed field of foliage, a study that edges towards the Marvel’s Green Thoughts in a Green Shade, or Green Shades in a Green Barrow, or a Barrow Load of Green Shadows. Pick a texture and proceed. 

A Sporting Chance: An Gulf in Reality

 Sometimes white paper is too white, or there was just a bit of board siting around, and so was turned into substrate.  The central so-called King Crab is not a crab or a king - at the time this image was printed it was described as Xiphosura or Limulus polyphemus , which is a nomenclatury a bet both ways.  That dagger like projection is a telson.  The male is towed to shore by the female, probably not to save him from drowning.  The eggs are buried in the intertidal sand,.there are no reports of games of tennis, or them being eaten by large storks or becoming lobster food, at least not that I’ve read.
