Bart's return to  Hunterdon County has not been without some posturing, here he has climbed up high on a disused cranium to survey his old haunts.  Granny Egg, who says she always suspected Bart of skulduggery, claims he his new complexion is due to plastic surgery, and not as Bart  has been putting around, due to his conquering Death. And this does not even start to why Bart now has two eyes.

Mavis, who first spotted Bart in the Hellebores, says this photograph, with its sharp shadows and momento mori shows Bart's  level of  'getting-it-togetherness'. This may be due to Mavis having cracked her head diving into the empty municipal pool ( see swimming-in-heavy-weather).  In any case Mrs Woo-star has gone to Ground.
